Unique: The seeder with dynamic discs
In 2019, after just two years of development, we introduced the Dynamic Disc Plus precision spaced planter to the market. Equipped with numerous options, innovations, and improvements, the planter is a complete overhaul of the predecessor model from 2010.
A particular advantage afforded by the Dynamic Disc Plus is its "multi-crop capability" – while the previous model was only used for corn and soy, the new machine can also be used for planting cereals, rapeseed, and beets.
Grain separation with the patented slotted disc principle
The planter's multi-crop capability is achieved with the dynamic disc, which was specially developed for the precision spaced planter and patented worldwide in 1981. Each grain is separated and deposited by a radial slotted disc and the spiral slotted disc behind it. New discs have been developed for the additional fruit types, so that the customer can simply swap discs and head straight to the field to plant a different fruit type with the same machine. Further advantages of the new seeder are the higher planting speed, the modular system, and the many options for retrofits and machine configurations. The seeder can be towed or mounted on the tractor, and customers enjoy a great deal of flexibility to additionally retrofit a fertilizer spreader, order a matching wind and rain cover, select the working lights, and much more besides.
The Dynamic Disc Plus can also be extended for large seed companies. The largest seeder to date was built for a French customer for the simultaneous planting of three cereal plots. It has a total of 18 rows and is 6 meters wide.
Speedy development
The machine development process was a challenge, with a completely new machine being built in a very short time. The goal was to present the Dynamic Disc Plus at the DLG Conference in January 2019 and have it ready for customers to use for spring planting. This was duly achieved and the seeder has since been sold 150 times.
