Hetterich—from one-person operation to international service provider
Hetterich Fieldwork GbR in Schwarzach am Main in Bavaria, Germany, has been providing services for agricultural field trials for 20 years. With a 40-strong staff team, Andreas Hetterich covers the needs of customers in Germany as well as bordering regions in the neighboring countries of Poland, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Austria. Field trials in Romania are handled by a subsidiary.
A reliable partner for two decades.
WINTERSTEIGER has been part of this successful development right from the start. The extensive machine fleet includes the entire WINTERSTEIGER program from planting to harvesting: seeders for drill seeding and precision spaced planting of all crops, every generation of the Classic and Delta models, as well as treating equipment. Andreas Hetterich values the expert support from WINTERSTEIGER employees, the rapid delivery of replacement parts, and the reliability of the machines: “When it comes to working at your limits, such as when the soil conditions are very wet, then there is nothing that comes close to the Delta.”
His son Fabian, computer scientist and agronomist, joined the company two years ago. He points out how easy it is to use the WINTERSTEIGER Easy Harvest weighing system software: “It just takes a 5-minute familiarization session, and anyone can work with it.“
A willing ear for customer's suggestions.
Andreas Hetterich views the business relationship with WINTERSTEIGER as a matter of give and take that goes far beyond a mere trade transaction: “When Ludwig Schmidt, my employee of many years, wanted to make some improvements, he found a willing ear at WINTERSTEIGER.“ This led to a series of improvements to the Delta that were down in large part to Hetterich:
- Improved sampling
- Optimization of the driver's platform to reduce vibrations
- Improvements to the inclined elevator
- Optimized lighting system for night-time working
- Narrow rear tires
