Easy Breed meets GZPK (Peter Kunz Grain Breeding)

It was a real pleasure to visit GZPK (Peter Kunz Grain Breeding), a non-profit organization for organic/dynamic plant breeding in Switzerland. We provided on-site training in the Easy Breed plant breeding software, and we enjoyed the glorious surroundings of the Feldbach trial site at Lake Zürich—see the photo!

But, there was much more to this day than just providing training. It was a learning experience for both sides: GZPK learned how to use the Easy Breed software to generate direct crosses and create field designs, field plans, and field logs, while WINTERSTEIGER gained valuable insights into breeding cycles. We came away with some useful ideas for new or enhanced Easy Breed functions. GZPK uses Easy Breed for organic wheat, pea breeding, and triticale and emmer niche crops.
