Apprenticeship projects success
In July, our third-year and fourth-year apprentices presented their final projects to the trainers, colleagues, supervisors, and the Management Board.
The first group of apprentices constructed a test device for cutting units on the plot combine, while the second group built a demo cabin for the Quantum Plus plot combine. Both projects were planned, budgeted, designed, and produced (and of course organized!) by our apprentices following order placement.
New test device for cutting units.
The new device for testing the cutting unit on the plot combine has been optimized with many enhanced features. It is now easier to operate, the hydraulic tank is larger and easier to access, and it has been equipped with a fill level indicator. The cutting unit is mounted in the same way as on the plot combine, while all the hydraulic hoses are connected in an identical manner to those on the thresher. The test device is used in production and each cutting unit is comprehensively tested before assembly.

The second team of apprentices created a combine cabin to give customers a feel of the machine and its functions. The demo cabin has the same interior as the one on the plot combine and is used at trade fairs and during customer visits to the Seedmech showroom.
These projects are an important component of apprentices' training and demonstrate the high level of the apprenticeship and the skills of our younger team members. WINTERSTEIGER is hugely proud of the contribution of our apprentices, and would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them on their success with these projects!
